IRGC Links Kuwait Base Attacks to US Strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island
According to a statement cited by reports, an Iranian oil tanker operating near the Strait of Hormuz was struck by an aerial projectile late Tuesday, resulting in damage to the vessel’s engine compartment.
The statement further alleged that US forces later targeted a communications tower affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard in an area south of Qeshm Island.
Following those incidents, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force carried out missile and drone strikes against US military assets across the region, including installations associated with the US Fifth Fleet.
The Guard warned that any additional military action directed at Iran would trigger a "decisive" response. It also cautioned that parties participating in operations against Iran would face repercussions.
The announcement came shortly after reports from Iranian state media indicated that multiple explosions had been heard near the Suza and Masen areas of Qeshm Island. Initial reports did not provide extensive details regarding the cause of the blasts.
