Provided by AGPAccording to reports, Qatar, Egypt, and Jordan separately criticized the strikes that targeted Emirati territory, expressing concern over the growing escalation in the region.
The UAE reported that it had faced a fourth wave of incoming missiles and drones launched from Iran. Emirati authorities said their air defense systems were able to intercept 15 missiles along with four drones, preventing further damage.
In a separate incident linked to the attacks, a fire erupted at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone on the UAE’s eastern coastline, which is considered an important energy infrastructure hub. The blaze reportedly followed a drone strike originating from Iran.
Local officials in Fujairah confirmed that three Indian nationals were injured in the incident and were transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry issued a strong statement condemning the escalation, stressing its rejection of attacks on civilian areas. The ministry said:
“The State strongly condemns the renewal of Iranian attacks that targeted civilian sites and facilities in the sisterly State of the UAE using missiles and drones, which resulted in the injury of three individuals of Indian nationality.”
The statement further described the strikes as “a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and a serious threat to the security and stability of the region.”
Overall, the developments highlight rising regional tensions, with multiple Arab states warning against further escalation and emphasizing the need to protect civilian infrastructure and regional stability.
