Russian Strike on Zaporizhzhia Kills Two, Injures 14 in Ukraine

(MENAFN) Ukraine reported on Tuesday that a series of Russian strikes carried out overnight resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left 14 others wounded in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, including its Polohivskyi district.

“Two people were killed and 14 were injured as a result of enemy attacks on the Polohivskyi district and Zaporizhzhia,” regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram, noting that the injured are currently receiving medical care.

According to the Ukrainian air force, Russian forces targeted Zaporizhzhia around midnight, launching a barrage of 10 rockets using a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). The attack is believed to have involved Tornado-S rockets, known for their destructive precision and extended range.
